Tyma house changes to put back on the market after open house feedback

The Tyma’s had been clients of mine for 14 years, and I have completed many wonderful projects with them from their kitchen total remodel, new flooring in the family room, new interior custom design doors, also custom designed front door, redoing children’s bedrooms, window treatments, furniture accessories, original artwork and a custom and commissioned oil painting for the front entryway. I also designed the stone meandering walkway to the front door and literally laid it out for the contractors with spray paint.  The access sidewalk that was originally with the house was positioned parallel to the house several feet.  After many years of enjoying their home, it was time after being empty nesters for a few years to down size and sell the house.  They had put their house on the market, and it wasn’t selling even with lots of positive feedback regarding certain parts of the home.  It was evident that today’s home buyer wanted everything updated.  In the case of the Tyma’s home, the areas we never touched, such as the children’s bathrooms and a bar area in the family room became a sticking point to the house being sold.  After several months of not receiving any offers, they gave me a call with an s.o.s. request to help them make changes to these areas that were tagged by people coming through the house.  They took the house off the market for almost 2 months while we took care of new sinks vanities for both children’s bathrooms and a new granite countertop for the bar  area, and new paint colors to freshen up some areas.  After the updates were implemented, they put their home back on the market, and it sold within a month!

Testimonials

Simply stated, Pat Good helped turn the house we liked into the home we love. From the initial remodeling design to choosing colors, fabrics, furniture, lighting and much more Pat was knowledgeable, creative, imaginative and most importantly friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Our goal was to create a home that was warm, inviting, and full of charm and character. Pat’s vision and her brilliant ideas were instrumental in achieving the look we desired. The many sincere compliments we have received from family and friends serve as the greatest testimony to Pat Good

“We absolutely love the design of our rebuilt kitchen. When we moved into this house, the kitchen was the one room we could not abide; it was both ugly and dysfunctional. We now have a kitchen that is beautiful and elegant, and a joy to work in. Everyone who sees it comments on the design of the floor and backsplash and the quality of the cabinets. But you need to work in it as we do everyday to appreciate the complete reorganization of the appliances, sinks, lighting and entrance. Though it is not a large kitchen, the reorganization makes it feel like it is. Many thanks for you help.”

“Pat Good has done several projects in our home, and we have been absolutely delighted with each one. She has a great eye for color and texture, as well as, balance and flow. We have a new home with different color schemes in each room, and she was able to create a nice flow. Pat also has a great talent for picking and creating pieces of furniture and knowing how to arrange them. It is amazing how the smallest change can make such a difference in how you feel about a room!”

Pat patiently helped us look through an amazing amount of granite choices for our kitchen countertop and then found the perfect two paint colors to complement it. She also designed a beautiful one of a kind upholstered ottoman/coffee table for our den. AND, after 20 years of struggling with an oddly shaped living room, she came up with a furniture arrangement that finally works for us and then, as we shopped for new furniture, she was there to advise on size, shapes, fabrics & paint colors. We are thrilled with all the results!
